Ways to connect

There are two ways to connect — via a CI module without a set-top box, or via a receiver.

CI module (CAM) — no set-top box

The CI module plugs into your TV's Common Interface slot, or into a separate CI adapter (supplied with the TV) mounted on the back panel. The antenna connects to the RF IN input.

  1. Get a Mavji Somon access card
  2. Insert the CAM module into the TV's Common Interface slot
  3. Insert the access card into the CAM module
  4. Control channels with your regular TV remote — nothing extra to buy

Receiver (DVB-T2 set-top box)

If your TV doesn't support a CI module, connection is done through an external set-top box. The antenna connects to the receiver's RF IN input, and the receiver connects to the TV with one of these cables:

  1. RCA cable (“tulip”) — works with any TV, including older ones
  2. HDMI cable — carries the digital signal losslessly; this is the preferred option

What you need to connect

  • A DVB-T2 antenna
  • A set-top box (STB) or CAM module from Mavji Somon
  • A conditional access card
  • A chosen tariff plan and subscription payment

Equipment is purchased once, at connection time.
